For soil or gravel surfaces:

  • Weed barrier fabric or geotextile mesh: essential after applying a herbicide treatment, as it will prevent weed growth that could damage the turf once it's been laid. Furthermore, this mesh facilitates drainage of the artificial grass, which is crucial for its longevity.
  • Staples or fixing nails: Necessary to secure the grass to the ground at the perimeter.

For hard surfaces of concrete, cement or tile:

  • Adhesive sealant: A high-strength, green glue used to bond artificial turf to the ground. It is recommended to use a silicone gun for application.

Tools required regardless of soil type:

  • Joining tape: Necessary to join the artificial grass sections. You can choose a self-adhesive tape (simpler, ideal for light traffic areas and hard surfaces) or a joining tape with glue (more resistant and ideal for soil surfaces, but requires two-component glue).
  • Two-component adhesive: Required if you choose the adhesive bonding tape.
  • Silica sand: Although not mandatory, it is highly recommended, as it helps to keep the grass fibers upright, regulates the temperature, and anchors the grass to the surface.
  • Cutter: An essential tool for cutting artificial grass quickly and precisely.

Tools for artificial turf maintenance:

Once the lawn is installed, maintenance is really simple.

  • Sanitizing perfume: Adds a touch of realism with its freshly cut grass scent and its antibacterial properties make it ideal for homes with children or pets.
  • Stiff bristle brush: Useful for keeping the lawn in perfect condition in small areas.
  • Electric lawn trimmer: Recommended for large areas, this tool will save you time and keep your lawn looking fresh and newly cut.

It is important to note that not all tools are applicable to every type of artificial grass installation; the type of surface will determine which tools you will need.

Furthermore, the initial preparation of the land can be a demanding process and in certain cases, may require the use of specialized machinery or the intervention of professionals.

In any case, we are here to help you succeed in your artificial grass installation.
